Praia, Jun 9 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, expressed “gratitude and recognition” to Hungary for the donation of “the largest batch of vaccines” against COVID-19, highlighting the “concrete readiness” of the Hungarian government.
The ruler made these remarks late on Tuesday morning in City of Praia during the official reception ceremony of the 100.000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine danated by Hungary.
“I would like to express our great gratitude and recognition for this gesture and donation of 100.000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from Hungary to Cabo Verde, because it is at these times when we recognize each other and we make difference of the good friends from those who respond promptly in difficult times,” he said.
According to the head of the Government, it is at these times the values of solidarity, humanity and the humanitarian spirit are expressed “more and more forcefully”. On the other hand, he acknowledged the personal commitment of the Hungarian Prime Minister, who soon responded “with concrete readiness”, but also because the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade personally travelled to Cabo Verde to deliver this “precious order” to the Cabo Verdean people.
