Praia, Mar 26 (Inforpress) – The African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV – opposition party) called on the Government to mobilize two billion escudos in the State Budget 2020 to help the most vulnerable families in preventing the new coronavirus.
Janira Hopffer Almada, who was speaking to journalists this Wednesday on the sidelines of a meeting she held with the National Union of Workers of Cabo Verde (UNTC-CS), reinforced the idea that this is the time for the executive to channel more resources to reinforce the prevention that remains fundamental in this fight.
“There are conditions for, at this moment, be channelled around two billion in State Budget 2020 to help those vulnerable families who, if not supported, will not have the necessary conditions to carry out prevention,” she said.
For the PAICV leader, it is essential to prioritize these families, since they will be faced with worrying problems in terms of survival, access to food and income.
