Covid-19: National Assembly use videoconference system, minimum services and home office

Praia, Mar 31 (Inforpress) – The National Assembly (AN) will “continue to work normally” with the implementation of the minimum services already decided by the Bureau of the Parliamentary House, videoconference and home office system during the state of emergency.

The Parliamentary House opted for the call regime in order to reduce the number of people in the Assembly Palace, according to its president, but all employees are on alert, so that this sovereign body can take action in this period of struggle to prevent coronavirus, Covid-19.

To Inforpress, Jorge Santos said that the Bureau has already taken two decisions that include reinforcing the creation of all conditions for cleaning the building, but also for security for all workers and MPs, and in his last meeting, already on videoconference, decided to create the minimum services.

The AN president stressed that “all parliamentary services are functioning, because parliament as a sovereign body has to keep it functioning”.
