COVID-19: In the last two weeks there has been a stabilization in epidemiological evolution – DNS

Praia, 28 Sept (Inforpress) – The National Director of Health reported, in the City Praia, that in the last two weeks there has been a stabilization in epidemiological evolution in relation to the number of cases of COVID-19.

At the usual press conference of assessment to the pandemic situation in the country, Jorge Noel Barreto stated that in the period from September 13 to 26 a total of 12.296 samples were analyzed, a daily average of 278, with a total of 841 new cases and with the average of 60 new cases per day.

“In the previous 14 days, i.e. from August 30 to September 12, a total of 18,178 samples were analyzed, with an average of 1.298 samples per day, allowing the identification of 841 new cases, with a daily average of 60 new cases and a positivity rate of 6.8 percent (%)” he added.

According to the person responsible, although the positivity rate is still above four percent, there is some stabilization in the epidemiological evolution in the country.
