São Filipe, May 13 (Inforpress) – The water supply campaign for customers with service suspended due no payment of water bills has already benefited more than a hundred vulnerable families on the islands of Fogo and Brava.
The administrator / delegate of the Intermunicipal Water Company (Águabrava), Rui Évora, said Tuesday that the water supply campaign to these families is still ongoing and for this reason the cut-off campaign for the delay in paying the water bills is suspended.
In the two islands, it is estimated an average of 120 families benefited with the water supply campaign, said the administrator / delegate, noting that the debts of the families in these condition remain outstanding and they only start paying the bills after the water supply resumption.
“The water supply resumption does not have as condition the payment of debt that remains pending and they only pay from the moment the resumption takes place”, said Rui Évora, stressing that afterwards the Águabrava board of directors will analyze the outstanding debts and see if there are any condition to debt relief or not.
