São Filipe, Apr 22 (Inforpress) – A multisectoral team coordinated by the National Civil Protection and Fire Service (SNPCB) is on the ground to strengthen the supervision of health measures to combat COVID-19, as part of the Resolution of July 2020.
The SNPCB regional commander, Edson Alfama, told Inforpress that the inspection team integrates members from institutions such as the General Inspectorate of Economic Activities (IGAE), Independent Health Regulatory Body (ERIS), National Police, Health Centers and City Halls of the islands of Fogo and Brava.
The objective is to monitor the measures and the health compliance for non-spread of COVID-19, but also the assignment of seals of sanitary conformity, to raise awareness among economic operators, especially in this period of strong movement of people due to the celebration of the flag season festivities and the Municipality of São Filipe Day. According to him, the inspection will cover the entire island, and runs from 20 to 29 April.
Despite the City Hall of São Filipe and Casa da Bandeira decision, as organizers of the flag festivities and the Municipality of São Filipe Day, respectively, to not hold crowding activities, it is certain that several emigrants are already in the island, especially from the United States of America, and economic operators are announcing on social networks the holding of musical activities for the last week of April.
