COVID-19: Epidemiological situation in Cabo Verde worsens in the last 14 days – DNS

Praia, Apr 7 (Inforpress) – The National Health Directorate reported today that the epidemiological situation in Cabo Verde has worsened in the last 14 days, and the incidence accumulated rate at national level increased from 128 to 253 per 100.000 inhabitants.

The evaluation was made by the National Health Directorate, Jorge Barreto, during the usual press conference on the balance of COVID-19 in the country, in the period of 14 days.

According to this responsible, from March 22 to April 4, about 10.973 samples which give an average of 783 samples per day were analyzed and there were a total of 1.426 new cases identified in this period which gives an average of 102 new cases per day and represents a positivity rate of 3 percent (%).

In the same period, Jorge Barreto said there were a total of 9.058 samples analyzed which gives an average of 647 samples per day, and there were also a total of 720 new cases identified, an average of 51 new cases per day and a positivity rate of 8%.
