Cidade da Praia, Apr 3 (Inforpress) – The Secretary-General of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS) expressed himself satisfied with the conditions of access to credit lines created by the Government to help companies in situations of difficulty, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
José Luís Neves was speaking to journalists this Thursday after the Government announcement on the interest rate of the four credit lines in the amount of 4 billion escudos, which will never exceed 3% and which will have State guarantees between 80 and 100%.
“We made a set of proposals for each specific credit line. For large companies, for medium-sized companies for small and micro companies and today we note that the Government has even gone further than some proposals that we have made in relation to some lines. So we are in agreement”, he summarized.
José Luís Leves stressed that the moment is uncertain, since no one knows how this crisis will unfold and how long it will take.
That is why he said he expected the Government and banks to open up to reinforce measures if necessary.
