Praia, Dec 3 (Inforpress) – The mission from the Austrian cooperation, which aims at training and autonomy in the execution of arthroscopic surgeries and the reduction of ‘evacuations’ at Agostinho Neto Hospital, was ended with a positive note, according to the promoters.

In a press conference on Thursday, the director of orthotraumatology services at the Agostinho Neto Hospital, Ernesto Ramos, said that the work carried out under the mission provided the exchange of experiences between specialists, orthopedic surgeons and national orthopedic technicians.

“The mission main objective is to reconstruct the anterior ligament, when injured produces difficulty, and is very frequent, especially in high-performance athletes, namely football, basketball and handball,” he explained.

In turn, the head of the Austrian mission, Dr. Karl Rabbitch, reinforced his satisfaction with being part of the cooperation mission between Austria and Cabo Verde, and congratulated the local doctors for working with few resources.
