Praia, Aug 14 (Inforpress) – The Consumer Price Index (IPC) recorded a monthly change of 0.4 percent (%) in July, up 0.4 percentage points (pp) to that recorded in June this year.
According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the accumulated rate of change of the IPC was -0.5%, a rate lower by 1.7 p.p. than that observed in the same month of the previous year.
“The accumulated rate of change was -0.5%, a rate below 1.7 pp compared to the same month of the previous year”, adds the same source, adding that the annual rate of change of the total, in June 2020, was 0.3%.
As for the underlying inflation indicator (total index excluding energy and unprocessed food), it indicates a year-on-year variation of 1.5%, 0.4 pp higher than that recorded in June 2020.
