Praia, Jul 30 (Inforpress) – The manager of the Fund for the Promotion of Employment and Training (FPEF), informed that 751 young people were awarded scholarships, within the scope of the 18th competition of Measure II of the incentive programme for professional training.
Speaking to Inforpress, Danilson Borges explained that the scholarships refer to the payment of tuition fees for the 751 young people, who “have difficulties” to access vocational training.
He pointed out that, in this way, “this barrier was removed” and the beneficiaries will have “tranquility and focus” on training and not on the mobilization of resources for the payment of tuition fees. “With this, an amount of around 45 million escudos was granted, which covers all training entities, both public and private, that offer professional training courses”, he added.
The official also said that in this contest, 60 percent (%) of the young people benefited are women, because, he explained, the trend shows that there are more young women looking for professional training than men.
