Praia, July 4 (Inforpress) – Academician Lourenço Gomes said Tuesday that the colloquium on the 150th anniversary of the São Nicolau High School-Seminary aims to draw the “historical journey” of this institution and its contribution to religious formation and Cabo Verdean cultural identity.
According to the university professor, born on the island of São Nicolau and one of the promoters of this initiative that took place at Praia City, one of the purposes of this event was to discuss the importance of the High School-Seminary in teaching in Cabo Verde in the past .
For Lourenço Gomes, the University of Cabo Verde was involved in this event at the request of the City Halls of Ribeira Brava and Tarrafal de São Nicolau, which, according to his words, is “a way to get Uni-CV out of its doors”.
“It is the moment in which the University of Cabo Verde makes its contribution in the celebrations of the 150 years of the High School-Seminary,” said Lourenço Gomes.
