Praia, Apr 5 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Olympic Committee (COC) promotes, from April 6th, International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, a series of activities such as lectures, competition and a training dedicated to athletes and former Olympic athletes.
To Inforpress, the president of the Olympic Athletes Association, Isménia Frederico, explained that these actions are framed in the commemoration of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, date of the first edition of the Olympic Games in the Modern Era in Athens, in the distant year 1896.
“The activities will take place from this Monday and end on Saturday, the 10th. During this period will be held lectures to help the contest participants to implement their projects”, said Isménia Frederico, indicating that the vacancies for the participants have already run out.
Isménia Frederico said the contest will be ‘online’ and will feature participants from Cabo Verde, Portugal and Sao Tome and Principe, who should prepare a social project linked to the area of sport to be presented and awarded the three best.
