City Hall of Praia and Japan sign an assistance agreement for local projects for the purchase of an ambulance

Praia, Jan 16 (Inforpress) – The City Hall of Praia signed today, in the Main Hall of the Town Hall, with the Japanese embassy in Cape Verde, an assistance agreement for local projects that contribute to human security.

The agreement was initiated by the mayor, Francisco Carvalho, and by the adviser and assistant head of mission of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Cape Verde, Hirose Shinichi. It aims above all at the purchase of an ambulance, for which the initial donation grants the value of 74,184 euros, around 8 million Cape Verdean Escudos.

Speaking to the press, Francisco Carvalho thanked Japan for the partnership and for providing the funds for the purchase of an ambulance, a work tool that, according to him, will be used to serve and help the population of Praia.

“At City Hall of Praia, we feel more proud every day and we have had more gestures like this, from credible institutions, which approach the municipality demonstrating that they trust this team, because they are sure that the help they provide us is applied with transparency”, declared the mayor.
