Praia, Aug 9 (Inforpress) – Nine of the 11 regional football associations formally submitted a request on Monday to the board Cabo Verdean Football Federation to hold an extraordinary general meeting to analyze the football situation in the country.
According to information provided by the president of the Regional Football Association of South Santiago, Mário “Donnay” Avelino, it is now up to the chairman of the board of the general assembly to schedule this meeting, which also intends to “take a decision regarding to the conclusions reached.”
It is also intended to analyze the whole situation of the national football and the actual FCF’s management, in a difficult moment because it’s unknown the end of the national championship “to reach the best route for Cabo Verdean football.”
For Donnay Avelino “it is urgent to put an end to all this abuse of the Federation to avoid that, later, the Cabo Verdean football reaps much more drastic fruits”, arguing that the federative direction is psychologically frail and “without conditions to continue to direct the Cabo Verdean football plunged in so many conflicts in the short time of functions”.
