Espargos, 19 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verde Chamber of Tourism, Gualberto do Rosário, is concerned about the health security issue in the country, stating that the problems at this level are prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gualberto do Rosário made these statements during a meeting with local businessmen, in one of the hotels in the tourist city of Santa Maria, with the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Olavo Correia.
“We are concerned with the health issue. The COVID-19 bring issues of concern it showed that, in fact, it is important … it caught us off guard. But health security problems, and especially for tourism, exist, they are many, and they are not limited to just the COVID-19”, he said.
In this sense, he questions whether our hospitals and health systems, firefighters are prepared to face, for example, Ebola imports, if there is adequate equipment and if there is specific training in these matters, if there are emergency vehicles medical-sanitary, among other concerns.
