Praia, Feb 17 (Inforpress) – The Central Prison in Praia reinforced the security level with the installation of a video surveillance system, valued at around six million escudos.
Speaking to the press, this Tuesday in Praia, the Minister of Justice and Labour, Janine Lélis, after learning about the operation of this tool, said that this project was designed to strengthen the security in this prison and facilitate the control levels.
“This is yet another achievement among the many already done in the prison sector”, noted the minister, informing that this same service will be installed soon in the Ribeirinha prison, in São Vicente.
“In addition to that, there are other investments of great importance to close a circle designed on what was the motivation of prison officers with the resolution of pending issues, on strengthening security, on conditions of imprisonment and on the social reintegration plan,” she added.
