Cenorf launches this month second phase of the “Solidarity Action” project

Praia, May 3 (Inforpress) – The second phase of the “Solidarity Action” project, the National Orthopedic Center and Functional Rehabilitation (Cenorf), will be launched this month, administrator Alberto Afonso told Inforpress on Sunday.

According to this official, people with physical disabilities with appliances from other islands in the country, who benefited from the first phase of the project due to the pandemic, were only able to travel to Praia until January 2021.

The project’s second phase, which is funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will secure 70 percent (%) benefits to persons with physical disabilities with appliances from the Barlavento islands.

“We will benefit, at this stage, people from the islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau, Boa Vista, Sal and Maio, because these were never met in Cenorf,” said Alberto Afonso, appealing to people with physical disabilities with appliances, in these islands, to seek the health structures in their localities to triage so that they benefit from the project.
