CCS-AIDS marks the anniversary of the country’s largest partner in responding to the disease

Praia, Sep 15 (Inforpress) – CCS-Sida marks the third anniversary of the India-UN Development Partnership from 2023 with various training and information activities aimed at making the biggest contributor to the HIV- AIDS in the country.

Speaking to Inforpress to talk about this partnership and the activities carried out, the executive secretary of the AIDS Combat Coordination Committee (CCS-Sida) stressed that it was a fair tribute, since the India-UN Development Partnership contributed in the year 2019 / 2020 with about 25 (%) percent of the committee’s responses to AIDS.

According to the official, all United Nations funding for HIV / AIDS in the country, for the current year, comes from the UN Development Partnership, which is why it is necessary to mark the date with HIV-AIDS and COVID-19 prevention activities with priority populations.

To celebrate this event, a high-level meeting was held in Washington this Monday, the 14th, with the participation of high-ranking individuals from the United Nations and its partners.
