Cape Verde “vehemently” condemns the violent attacks against democratic institutions in Brazil

Praia, Jan 9 (Inforpress) – The Government of Cape Verde this Sunday “vehemently condemned the violent attacks” perpetrated against the democratic institutions of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The Government, according to a press release published on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed its “total solidarity” with the Presidency of the Republic, Congress and the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil. He appeals to the “quick return to normality, in strict respect for the constitutional order”.

Likewise, the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, through the same social network, indicated that he follows the events in Brasilia with “enormous concern”.

“I vehemently condemn anti-democratic acts and express my solidarity and support for President Lula da Silva and the legitimate authorities of the Federative Republic of Brazil”, wrote José Maria Neves.
