Cape Verde and Canary Islands Cabildo sign a Framework Agreement for cooperation 

Praia, July 13 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Government and the Canary Island Cabildo signed Thursday a framework agreement for collaboration and cooperation for the development of projects of common interest, based on the similarities and potentialities of the two Archipelagos.

Entrepreneurship, ICT (technological and social innovation), business development, renewable energy as well as energy savings and efficiency are key areas in this agreement, which also covers climate change – notably in the proposal to set up an observatory on climate change in the Eastern Atlantic.

The agreement also includes, according to government sources, blue aconomy, especially aquaculture and marine algae biotechnology and vocational training and training linked to the agricultural and water sector.

The agreement is signed by the Cabo Verdean side, the Minister of Economy and Employment, José da Silva Gonçalves, and Raul Salvador Garcia Brink, adviser of the ​​Economic Energy Development area and will represent the Insular Government of the Canaries.
