Praia, Jun 18 (Inforpress) – The Women’s Handball coach from Cabo Verde outlined a positive assessment of her absolute debut in the African Handball Championship ended with winning the President’s Cup after victory in the final against Kenya.
Ana Seabra praised the way the Cabo Verdean team evolved throughout this competition, and was pleased with the way the country managed to achieve one of the desired objectives, recalling that Cabo Verde was in a very strong group, with Angola and Congo preparing for the World Cup.
Regarding the victory in Thursday’s final, which dictated the conquest of the President’s Cup, Ana Seabra considered that the game was full of emotion, but that Cabo Verde managed to be more effective and she was happy with the athletes performance, who with little preparation, deserve the thanks for the achievements and evolution.
In this game the athlete from ABC Tchunas was considered the best player on the field, having been awarded the trophy. Cabo Verde won the President’s Cup on Thursday by winning its Kenya counterpart 27-22 in a half-time match in which they drew 12 goals at half-time.
