CAN 2019 qualification: Ricardo Gomes is injured and is one confirmed absence from Cabo Verde in Uganda

Praia, Nov 15 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde’s international forward Ricardo Gomes has been ruled out with an injury that prevented him from following the national team in his move to Uganda for Saturday’s qualification game for the African Cup of Nations Nations, CAN 2019.

The footballer who evolved in Partizan’s team from Serbia was thus in Lisbon, so he will be confirmed absence for the “decisive” game for the Cabo Verdean team in Kampala.

Ricardo Gomes is in a great moment, having been the scorer of two of the three goals with which Cabo Verde beat Tanzania 3-0 at the National Stadium in a game related to the third matchday of Group L qualification for the CAN 2019.

Without the services of Gomes, the attacking line is handed over to Platini (Poli Iasi, Romania), Ryan Mendes (Al Sharjah, United Arab Emirates), Garry Rodrigues (Galatasaray, Turkey), Júlio Tavares (Dijon, France), Papalele, Cabo Verde), Djaniny – Al Ahli SC (Saudi Arabia), Héldon (Al Taawon, Saudi Arabia) Ricardo Gomes (Partizan, Serbia) and Nuno da Costa (Strasbourg, France).
