Cabo Verdean’s immigrants daughter wins elections in the “most Portuguese” town in Luxembourg


Luxembourg, Oct 9 (Inforpress) –  Cabo Verdean’s immigrants daughter in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, won the local elections in Larochette, known as the “most Portuguese town in Luxembourg.”

Natalie Silva, a Luxembourger from Cabo Verdean origin and a councilwoman since 2011, won 471 votes, 118 more than the second.

Natalie Silva is expected to hold office as a burgomaster left vacant by Pierre Wies, who has not been re-elected in these elections, after having ruled the local authority for 26 years.

Before that, the elected representatives will also hold a meeting to formalize the appointments to the positions for the City Hall.
