Praia, May 14 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Society of Music (SCM), Solange Cesarovna, said thursday the year 2020 was “difficult” in economic terms, indicating that the crisis is being a “big challenge” for everyone.
Speaking to Inforpress at the general meetings on Friday, the 14th, to discuss, among others issues, the approval of the management report and the accounts for the year 2020 and the approval of the annual report on transparency for the year 2020, Cesarovna said the year was “difficult”.
“It has been a difficult year at the economic level for SCM as it was for any other institution,” she said, noting that it had to resort to partnerships, notably with the Platform for Local Development and Objectives 20/30, to obtain funding for training actions and with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to continue the social fund to support its members.
According to this official, the SCM had to reduce the plans scheduled for the year 2020, and some activities were completely suspended due to the restrictions imposed to deal with COVID-19.
