Praia, Nov 12 (Inforpress) – Secretary of State for Education Amadeu Cruz said the first Cabo Verdean Sign Language Dictionary represents a milestone for the country as it brings “undeniable benefits” to society.
Amadeu Cruz made these remarks to journalists, on the sidelines of the presentation and official delivery of the Cabo Verdean Sign Language Dictionary, as part of the School for All Project-Phase II, which was supported by Brazil.
The delivery was attended by a Brazilian mission composed of representatives of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) and the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM).
“The dictionary will allow our education system to work towards the inclusion of young people, children and adolescents with a hearing impairment, but we are working to ensure a better inclusion of all disabled people in the education system,” he said.
