Praia, Dec 1 (Inforpress) – The International Forum of Francophone Women (FIFEF) has appointed Cabo Verdean Edina Moreira, Regional Coordinator of Youth in Sub-Saharan Africa for gender issues, the jurist confirmed Monday to Inforpress.
The official, who is also linked to the “Cabo Verdean Woman and Climate Change” platform, said that her mission will be to coordinate the sub-Saharan zone, drawing up a unique proposal to be shared and financed in French-speaking Africa.
As sub-Saharan Africa coordinator for gender issues, Edina Moreira explained that she intends to work with institutions, government and non-governmental organizations taking care of gender issues.
“My first action in this nomination will be to work on a strategic plan, involving young people. To better work on gender issues, I think that the education sector is the best one, to put in place a plan that aims at the education of boys and girls, since early childhood, on the subject”, she said.
