Praia, Sept 1 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Association of Sines and Santiago de Cacém, (ACSSC), Portugal, held on September 2 and 3, in São Nicolau, a clarification session on how to legally emigrate to Portugal, with a view to combating irregular emigration.
This Information was provided today by the president of the association, Gracinda Luz, saying that the event takes place within the scope of the project “Empower and train emigrants”, started by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and is being implemented in several municipalities of the archipelago.
In this sense, it is up to the ACSSC to develop awareness-raising actions aimed at Cabo Verdean candidates for emigration to work, so that they are aware and formed of the entire emigration process.
“We were in July in Sal Island, we also had in São Vicente and Santo Antão in different municipalities and now this month of August and September we are in the island of São Nicolau, on the 2nd in the municipality of Tarrafal, and on day 3 in the municipality of Ribeira Brava, and we will later go to the Santiago Island”, she said.
