Praia, Apr 26 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Association of Lisbon is organizing a round-table discussion on the repercussions of colonial and national liberation struggles on April 30, with the fall of the colonial-fascist regime in Portugal.
According to an information note from the Cabo Verdean Association of Lisbon (ACV), the event to celebrate the Revolution of April 25 has as its goal addressing the effects of this slowdown in the acceleration of independence and in the configuration of postcolonial political regimes in Portuguese-speaking African countries.
According to the same source, will be speakers of the round table academicians Augusto Nascimento, José Augusto Pereira and the former independence activists Adolfo Maria and Tomás Medeiros.
The session, along with ACV, will be brightened with a poetry recital based on the work of the Portuguese-Cabo Verdean Daniel Filipe and with a music recital in honor of the Portuguese musician Mário Piçarra, based on his latest album.
