Praia, Jul 31 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean artists Carlos Matos and Humberto Ramos, based in Europe, decided to join a piano concert to pay homage to the morna classified as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The information was gave to Inforpress, by the communication officer, Paulo Lobo Linhares, who said that the musicians decided to pay this tribute because they are great friends, because they share the passion for the piano.
As he explained, the idea is to pay homage to two of the figures who consider themselves the mother and father of the Cabo Verdean piano, Dona Tututa and Chico Serra, and make sure we do not forget that the morna was recently elevated to Intangible Cultural Heritage.
He said that the concert has already been recorded and the video premiere will take place this Saturday, August 1st on Carlos Matos’ youtube channel and will also be broadcast on the facebook page of the Insulada and the Kriol Jazz Festival producer.
With this concert, as he said, it is to bring a certain positivity to all those who are currently in a less good phase in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.
