Carlos Albino made this revelation Thursday to the press on the sidelines of the first Strategic Committee of the GESTDOC Project – Modernization and Strengthening of the Identification and Document Security Chain in Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau met today in the Cabo Verdean capital.
According to Carlos Albino, with the creation of the referred center, the documents that until now are issued in Portugal are now issued in the country. At this time, the Electronic Passport, National Identification Card and the Foreign Residency Permit are issued in Portugal.
Currently, the average waiting time is 16 days, but once these documents are issued in the country, the time can be reduced to three or four days and the document can be delivered to the interested party on the same day, according to levels urgency.
