Praia, Sep 7 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde wants, through Angola, to promote a “single front” for a greater partnership with the Ombudsman of Africa since there is already an identical connection with those from the CPLP.
The statement is made by the Ombudsman, José Carlos Delgado, in statements to Inforpress in the context of the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Ombudsman of Angola today and whose objective is to promote and intensify institutional cooperation between the two countries.
“With the Ombudsman in the Portuguese-speaking Countries we have an already advanced partnership, particularly with Portugal with whom we have already signed an agreement and now it will be with Angola,” he said, stating that there is already a partnership with Senegal which should be signed soon.
The agreement, according to José Carlos Delgado, provides, among others, for the development of joint training and exchange actions, including specialized technicians, so that both institutions can better serve in the promotion and defense of citizens’ rights, freedoms, guarantees and legitimate interests.
