Cabo Verde wants to extend consular portal services to all diplomatic representations

Lisbon, Jun 30 (Inforpress) – The Embassy of Cabo Verde in Portugal has presented new consular portal services to allow provide a remote service and “rapid response”, from the perspective to have the same services in other diplomatic representations.

The presentation of the new tools took place early evening of Wednesday, the 29th, and was chaired by the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, who is visiting Portugal, the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries and Minister of the Sea, Abraão Vicente, the Secretary of State for Higher Education, Eurídice Monteiro, and the President of the perational Center for the Information Society (NOSi), Carlos Pina.

Speaking to the press, the Ambassador of Cabo Verde in Portugal, Eurico Monteiro, recalled that Cabo Verde has a “large Diaspora” spread throughout the world and since there is no material and financial conditions to have physical service posts everywhere, the bet should be on the digital transition of services “coherent and suits our reality”.

“It is taking advantage of this capacity created today with innovation, with technology platforms to respond to people’s needs. The Embassy of Cabo Verde in Portugal has the obligation to replicate, in partnership with diplomatic missions, in all consular posts. That’s the job we’re doing,” he said.DR / AA / HVF
