Cabo Verde under the influence of low pressure in the next 48 hours – INMG

Praia, Aug 4 (Inforpress) – The National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG) warned Tuesday that Cabo Verde is under the influence of a low pressure system, and may in the next 48 hours record rain of varying intensity and worsening of the state of the sea.

According to the institute, this low pressure system is 20 miles South of Santiago, moving North/Northwest of Cabo Verde islands.

“During its passage, it will condition the state of time in the next 48 hours, with occurrence of rain the varying intensity and significant worsening of the state of the sea, with higher incidence in the islands during the day of today, Tuesday, the 3rd, and dawn of tomorrow, August 4, reaching the islands further North, such as São Vicente and Santo Antão , with less intensity,” the INMG said in a statement.

The entity monitors the weather status in Cabo Verde recalls with the beginning of the rainy season, such situations tend to be increasingly frequent, so the monitoring of the weather status in the archipelago and the forecasts of its evolution will be continuous and updated.
