Praia, April 18 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde rose two places in the ICT Development Index (IDI) of the International Telecommunication Union (UIT), and in Africa ranked fourth.
The information is provided by the Operational Unit for the Information Society (NOSI), which quotes the annual ITU Telecommunication Development Department report, entitled “Information Society Report 2016”.
According to the report that Inforpress had access to, Cabo Verde increased from 4.23 to 4.60 points, moving from 99th place in 2015 to 97th place in 2016 in a list of 15 evaluated countries.
In Africa the Cabo Verdean archipelago occupies 4th place in the continent, behind only Mauritius, Seychelles and South Africa and in the West Africa sub-region ranked first.
