Praia, Jul 17 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic today considered that the CPLP is not and cannot be a mere instance of formal relationship between political bodies of States, but a strategic element of the action of each, as countries.
In his message alluding to the 24th anniversary of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), which is celebrated today, 17 July, Jorge Carlos Fonseca considered that this complicity is part of a common history of centuries, of encounters and disagreements, that decisively influenced the way they are today and spread the future, that each one wants to build.
For this reason, he wrote in his message, that everyone must be “body and soul” at CPLP so that they can find and reinforce the points of sharing, expand the common space and expand joint participation.
“Today, narrow nationalism has no place! Countries around the world come together to create and manage common administrative institutions, schools and common research centers, joint ventures and heritage, pooling resources, bridging weaknesses and optimizing opportunities,” he noted in his message.
