Cabo Verde participates in the 4th Global Conference on the sustained eradication of child labor

 

Praia, Nov 13 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Justice and Labor, Janine Lélis, will represent Cabo Verde from 14 to 16 at the 4th Global Conference on the sustained eradication of child labor to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Fourth Global Conference aims to strengthen the global commitment to accelerate the eradication of child labor in all its forms by 2025, in line with goal 8.7 of the United Nations Development Agenda 2030.

Goal 8.7 of the Sustainable Development Goal (ODS) 8 – “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, refers to the need to “Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labor, stop modern slavery and trafficking in persons and ensure prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labor, including the recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 to end child labor in all its forms. ”

This event will include the presentation of a “Joint Declaration of the CPLP to the 4th Global Conference on the Sustained Eradication of Child Labor”.
