Cabo Verde participates in Spain in the first world congress of the “Intelligent Islands”

Praia, April 20 (Inforpress) – A Cabo Verdean delegation headed by the Minister of Infrastructures, Land Planning and Housing, Eunice Silva, will take part in the first World Congress of “Intelligent Islands”.

According to a government press release, the meeting is attended by about 1.500 participants, including dozens of international experts and members of island governments.

The event that is organized by the Barcelona trade fair focuses on four main themes, namely “New Connectivity Solutions”, “Social and Urban Development”, “Economic Growth and Talent” and “Islands of the Future”.

According to the same source, the purpose of the organization is to offer a meeting point between governments, cities and companies in order to empower islands to the challenges of globalization and to attenuate the special characteristics of island countries, namely floating population, seasonality, mobility and talent retention.
