Mindelo, Apr 23 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde Interilhas Transport (TICV) is still without air ticket for sale for the month of May, a situation the company’s director general reported to workers onThursday morning, pointing out the pandemic as the cause.
Luís Quinta explained the company’s scenario to employees in a letter sent today to the ICTV collective, to which Inforpress had access, and confirmed the lack of flights for the month of May, through contacts with some travel agencies.
The Director-General of TICV mentioned in the note to workers that “everyone knows there are no flights for the month of May for sale and, for this reason, several weeks, even months”, there are talks between the company shareholders and the Government to resolve the situation, which “will go through a set of solutions to be agreed” between the parties.
“We have to remember it has been more than a year since we have all been affected by this pandemic and have never received a single support. This coupled with the drop in passengers, is not sustainable for any company, of course, so we need financial and other support,” the letter reads.
