Praia, Apr 16 (Inforpress) – The City of Santa Maria, in Sal Island, hosts, between August 23 and 27, the 9th edition of the Conference on Climate and Development in Africa, placing the climate and development at the center of public policies.
This announcement was made Friday to the Press by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Olavo Correia, as he presided today at the launch of the Conference on Climate and Development in Africa (CCDA), stressing that it is the first time Cabo Verde and a Small Island Country are hosting this conference of this importance.
According to Olavo Correia, this is a manifestation of confidence in Cabo Verde, and, above all, of knowledge of what the country has been doing, putting climate and sustainable development at the center of public policies.
Cabo Verde, said this responsible, in hosting this event, has two assets it has to protect, especially the Small Island Countries and the territory is an “inalienable” asset.
