Cabo Verde holds executive vice-presidency of the African Volleyball Confederation

Praia, Oct 29 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Volleyball Federation (FCV), António Rodrigues, is the new executive vice president of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAV) in an election took place in Egypt, with 54 % of votes on the list led by Bouchra, from Morocco.

António Rodrigues is delighted with this election for reaching “the penultimate challenges of a dream”, justifying this achievement due to in the “last few years, he has held the main African competitions as president of organization and / or technical supervisor”.

The achievement was welcomed by the Sports and Youth Institute (IDJ) reaffirming that this election “represents a lot” for sport in Cabo Verde, in particular for volleyball, which has been one of the sports modalities “in rapid growth at national level” .

“Now, more than ever, this growth will be consolidated with more strength and quality”, reiterated the same source. For the IDJ, the election of the president of FCV as executive vice president of CAV symbolizes “the historic milestone” of the leader journey who has been “always growing together with the sport and the confederation”.
