Cabo Verde has 25 pregnant women infected with COVID-19

Praia, Jul 2 (Inforpress) – The director of the Disease Prevention and Control Service, Jorge Noel Barreto, said Wednesday that Cabo Verde currently has 25 pregnant women infected with the new coronavirus and their health status is “stable”.

Jorge Noel Barreto, who was speaking at the usual press conference to take stock of the situation of the new coronavirus in the country, said that the archipelago now accounts for a total of 1506 people in quarantine, the largest number being registered in the municipality of Santa Catarina Santiago, with 540, and in Sal Island, with 466 people.

According to the official, the number of people in quarantine reflects the identified cases and the investigation carried out around the identified cases, which varies according to the analysis responses that the health stations receive.
