“Cabo Verde fully met what was its mission in the mobility agreement in the CPLP” – Coordinator

Praia, Apr 7 (Inforpress) – The CPLP Presidency Coordinator, António Lopes, said that Cabo Verde “fully met” what was its mission regarding the agreement on mobility in the community, stressing that the final document will be signed in July.

António Lopes, who was speaking to the press at the end of the 41st meeting of the CPLP’s cooperation focal points, said the agreement on mobility in the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) was to be signed in 2020, but due to COVID-19 it was postponed, so the final document will be approved and signed at the Luanda summit in July.

After being questioned by journalists on this issue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ office also said that it was not initially easy to negotiate this mobility agreement in the CPLP.

“But we have managed to bring the consensus of all member states , the agreement was brought to the Extraordinary Council of Ministers,” which took place on March 26, which appreciated the agreement had already been approved at the joint technical meetings.
