Cabo Verde considers “SATA” flight to connect Praia and Boston “very important”

 

Praia, June 4 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Finance said Saturday that the SATA Internacional flight connecting Praia and Boston  (very important” because is connecting the Cabo Verdean diaspora and promoting tourism and development.

Olavo Correia made this statement in remarks to the press after witnessing the inaugural flight of the Azorean company (Portugal) with Ponta Delgada / Praia / Boston connection at the Amilcar Cabral International Airport in Praia, underlining that with this connection it is improving the offer to Cabo Verde, making it “easier” to connect Cabo Verde to the United States of America.

“It is very important for Cabo Verde to scale up, to have links with our diaspora and with the world. Through this flight we will be able to reach the European and American continent more quickly, with a competitive price offer and the Government of Cabo Verde will give all the support to be successful and continue to grow more and more,” he said.

According to the minister, this flight represents a new potential in tourism, because through this route it will be possible to reach the Azorean market, integrated in the perspective of closer relations in the Macaronesia, making the economic and commercial relations be real for the promotion of the four archipelagos of Macaronesia.
