Mindelo, Jul 18 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde and São Tomé e Príncipe foreign ministers signed in Mindelo this afternoon a visa waiver agreement and driving license to “make fellow citizens life easier”.
The moment, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities of São Tomé and Príncipe, Elsa Teixeira Pinto, is “very important”, because it is initializing two “great instruments” that “make life easier” for the citizens.
Therefore, he added, we are talking about the “mutual recognition” of driving license titles and the possibility of the people from São Tomé e Príncipe to enter Cabo Verde without a visa and vice versa. “The question of mobility between the two countries exists, is feasible and is therefore more than shaped this intention and this consanguinity,” said the São Tomé e Principe ruler, for whom the doors are now open in matters of business, training and other areas of the markets.
“We have won a great stage, a great barrier that is mobility and we can, from here, build very important things between the two peoples,” she stressed. On the Cabo Verde side, it is believed, according to his counterpart Luís Filipe Tavares, that these two cooperation agreements will allow us to respond to the “old yearnings” of the two peoples.
