Cabo Verde and Sao Tome Chambers of Commerce sign agreement to facilitate trade between countries

Praia, Aug 30 (Inforpress) – The Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (Cabo Verde) and the São Tomé Industry, Agriculture and Services Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement on Thursday to facilitate trade between Cabo Verde and Sao Tome.

The document was signed as part of a working visit to Cabo Verde by a Santomean delegation, headed by the Secretary of State for Industry and Commerce of Sao Tome e Principe, Eugénio da Graça.

According to the president of the Santomean Chamber of Commerce, Jorge Correia, this agreement aims, above all, to work towards making Cabo Verdean products reach Sao Tome as soon as possible, at a good price and with quality so that the people of Sao Tome know the Cabo Verdean products and vice versa.

“Our goal is to work to create wealth and make the citizens of Sao Tome work harder, create greater wealth and have the possibility of having a better life,” said Jorge Correia, saying that in Sao Tome due to the abundance of rainfall there is a lot of production that can be exported to Cabo Verde.
