Praia, May 10 (Inforpress) – The governments of Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau signed this Tuesday, 9th, in Bissau, a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening Technical Cooperation between the two countries in the areas of Family, Gender and Social Inclusion.

The document was initialed with the Ministry of Women, Family and Social Solidarity of Guinea-Bissau, as part of a visit by the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire, to that Portuguese-speaking African country.

With this agreement, the parties intend, in the long term, to contribute to the strengthening of these relations, with the promotion and development of cooperation actions that benefit both, particularly in the areas of family, gender and social inclusion.

Fernando Elísio Freire said that this is an act that marks the consolidation of relations between Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau and that the parties still want them to be special relations, because, as he said, Guinea-Bissau is a strategic country for Cabo Verde.
