Praia, May 11 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde has just adopted the Electronic Aeronautical Information Publications (e-AIP) system which contains “determining” information for air navigation, according to information from the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC).
The Electronic AIP (e-AIP), according to the same source, consists of a system approved by the Civil Aviation Authority which Cabo Verde now provides through a database and “brings more versatility to air operators in the planning of their routes and itineraries, with gains in time and material resources for them”.
“At a time when the airlines increasingly have electronic documentation capability (electronic flight bag), the introduction of electronic AIP will speed up procedures for updating and rapidly searching for documentation by flight crews and flight operations officers,” it explains.
The Electronic Aeronautical Information Publications, according to the AAC, contains details of civil aviation regulations, procedures and other information relevant to air navigation activity, both in the airspace of the Flight Information Region (SAL FIR) and at Cabo Verde airports.
