Praia, Mar 20 (Inforpress) – Attorney Vital Moeda said that bricklayer, drivers, mainly taxi drivers and vans, guards or persons who perform security functions are the ones who have the most prosecutions as defendants in the Attorney General’s Office for Crimes of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
The prosecutor spoke to the press in the margins of an open conversation about VGB, under the title “VBG seen by civil society and public services, two visions and the same destiny”, carried out by the PAICV Federation of Women, in which also participated the prosecutor Inisabel Marques.
According to Vital Moeda, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has managed to “deal very well” with these chaos, because only this year in the city of Praia, where he is a prosecutor, 318 cases of GBV were filed in the MP.
And last year, he added, some 1400 GBV cases from August to January were solved.
