Nova Sintra, Jun 5 (Inforpress) – The transfer of water management from of Ferreiros, Lomba and Palhal to Water Inter-municipal Company (Águabrava) was the subject discussed at a meeting that brought together authorities linked to the sector in the island of Brava.
The Mayor of Brava, the delegate of the Water Inter-municipal Company (Águabrava) and the delegate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment established, with this first working meeting, the beginning of a process that “brings justice and uniformity” in access and distribution of water to the entire population of Brava.
The information was provided by the Mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares, who recalled that, in 2017, after a visit to Brava by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture, in a delegation that also included Águabrava’s Chief Executive, an understanding that an agreement should be made involving everyone and proceed with the transition.
For Francisco Tavares, the Ministry of Agriculture itself “is not an entity whose main competence is the management of water distribution, especially for the populations”, adding that it is what is happening in Lomba, Palhal and Ferreiros, with the management of the Odju d’Agu borehole,
